Cookbook Club
“This is my invariable advice to people: Learn how to cook- try new recipes, learn from your mistakes, be fearless, and above all have fun!”
—Julia Child, My Life in France
We couldn’t agree more—that’s why we’ve started the Edible Cookbook Club, a virtual cookbook club for people who love cooking and cookbooks as much as we do. It’s for anyone who loves exploring new cookbooks and wants to spend quality time in the kitchen—whether that means faithfully following new recipes, riffing on ideas they find in the book’s theme, or warning fellow cooks of potential pitfalls. Learn how it works here.
The Edible Cookbook Club will give you a new reason to explore a fresh new source of ideas and inspiration and an excuse to pick up a new cookbook (or borrow it from the library) every four weeks. Each month, we’ll select a new title and encourage the whole community to cook recipes from the book all month long. You’ll find an in-depth review with selected recipes here at EdibleCommunities.com to kick off each new month.
We’ll get together in our private facebook group to swap recommendations, variations, insights, and advice. We’ll find each other on Instagram by using the hashtag #EdibleCookbookClub. And of course, we’ll share photos of our dishes--the big wins and the epic fails alike. Along the way, we’ll talk ingredients, techniques, cookware, and anything else that relates to the exploration of cookbooks. Most of all, we’ll cheer each other on as we learn a little more every month about food and cooking as we go.
