If you’re looking for a weekday market to supplement your dinner, a Friday market to stock up for the weekend’s dinner party. If you want breakfast while you browse, there are plenty of weekend markets to suit. We counted more than 35 markets in and around Atlanta. While Saturday is definitely the prime market day, there’s literally one every day of the week. Use this handy guide to find the best farmers market any day of the week.
Monday
Kennesaw Farmers Market

The only market to get your local-produce fix on Monday, this Kennesaw market typically has around 30 vendors, including seasonal fruits and vegetables, cut flowers, bedding plants, and baked goods. Afterward, stay for Dinner at the Depot, where a variety of food trucks gather and live music plays.
Tuesday
Ponce City Farmers Market

It’s one of the smaller farmers markets in the city, but the PCM market overlooking Atlanta’s bustling Beltine is a good option if you can walk or bike, or if you work in or near Ponce City Market. If you are driving, you can get an hour of free parking (check website for instructions). Les Dames d’Escoffier sponsors regular chef demos showing how to use the seasonal produce.
Stone Mountain Farmers Market

There’s only a handful of vendors at this market, but it’s still a great source to get your fix of seasonal Georgia produce, such as peaches, cucumbers, and tomatoes. There’s usually live music playing, and the market is one of the many Georgia markets to double EBT benefits.

Coweta County Farmers Market

This thriving Wednesday-night market in downtown Decatur is the perfect place to pick up fresh fixings for dinner… or even to stay there and grab a bite (wood-fired pizza, anyone?) at one of the plentiful picnic tables. In the shadow of the Carter Center, this farmer’s market is a great source for local goods all year long. Vendors only accept cash, but tokens can be purchased with a debit or credit card, or EBT benefits (which, as with many other Atlanta-area markets, count for double their value), and used to pay for goods. There’s plenty of free parking, or the market is easily accessible via the Freedom Park Trail.

Well-respected chef Linton Hopkins and his wife Gina helped to start this Buckhead farmers market on the grounds of a church. Often voted the best farmer’s market in the city, this market within historic Grant Park has grown significantly since its inception and includes a healthy mix of produce, as well as locally produced foods like pasta, frozen soups, cold-pressed juice, honey, and even pet food. Along with getting shopping (and noshing!) done, you can also enjoy yoga, kids’ activities, chef demos, and, in December, a holiday artist market. Until the park’s paid parking deck opens in 2020, there’s only street parking, which can be hard to come by.
