Edible Travel: The Santa Fe Road Trip
Edible Santa Fe husband and wife team Stephanie and Walt Cameron were both raised in Albuquerque, NM. Stephanie received her BA in Fine Arts and went on to a career in the arts as a commercial muralist, sculptor, and model maker, while Walt Cameron spent fourteen years in Los Angeles as a visual effect artist for the film industry. After years on the road with too much time away from his family, Walt went to the Travel Channel Academy in 2010 and found his new passion: telling stories with video. Stephanie in the meantime had begun a career in marketing and web design so she could stay at home with her children. She took a small event company, Createasphere, to the international stage over the last thirteen years with her marketing and design expertise. After photographing, testing, and designing a cookbook in 2011, Stephanie and Walt began pursuing Edible Communities, and they found Edible Santa Fe in their backyard.
Stephanie and Walt Cameron bring their expertise as a full service media production company (Bite Size Media, LLC) which includes marketing, photography, and award winning video production to Edible Santa Fe. Together, they offer a skill set that combines passion for contemporary food knowledge and the media savvy that brings the story of food to life. In 2012 they took over publishing Edible Santa Fe and joined the local food community so they could continue to bring Central New Mexico the stories of local food, and how it impacts and shapes culture.
We talked to Stephanie and Walt about how to eat like a local around Santa Fe.
