Locally Sourced CocktailsWarm the Body and Soul

Winter might seem an unlikely time to craft fresh, inspired cocktails but apples, pears, cranberries and quince are all
in the mix. For an easy pairing, match fresh Rhode Island apple cider and blend it with rum, brandy or bourbon for
a highball. On the rocks, a twist of lime… hmm, what a delight.

One of the classic winter beverages, a treat for every holiday season, is eggnog, which has a lesser-known cousin I’d
like you to meet: theTom&Jerry.The main differences between eggnog and theTom&Jerry are that the latter is served
as a warm punch and incorporates more spice in the mix. Never mind the cholesterol, that’s what January is for.
Wintertime begs for friendly gatherings and what better to add a festive spirit than fizzy cocktails? On Providence’sWest

End, the bartenders from Julian’s crafted a drink pairing cranberries with genever and Champagne for a
crisp, sparkling cocktail. Genever is the precursor to our modern gin, maltier than gin and less juniper-forward.
