Get your appetites ready!
Edible Communities is proud to announce the launch of edible Louisville, celebrating the vibrant, local food culture of the region.
Published six times a year, edible Louisville will focus on the farmers, growers, fishers, home cooks, chefs and others who energize our culinary community.
Eating in Louisville is an experience unlike eating in any other city in the world. How this happened, and what’s next on the horizon, are stories worth telling. In each issue of edible Louisville, we will tell these stories. Experience the journeys of how the freshest ingredients—fruits, vegetables, grains, meats, cheeses—go from Kentucky and Indiana fields and farms to your neighborhood’s farmers’ market, to your family’s pantry, to the kitchens of some of your favorite restaurants. These stories are inspiring and personal. They are rooted in social awareness, a love for our community, and the age-old adage that to eat better is to live better.
With beautiful photography and thoughtful content, the magazine and its website will help us to better savor and appreciate our area’s food, its flavor, opportunities and challenges. An indispensable guide for people who are passionate about food – and want to know more, edible Louisville will provide local relevance, national perspective … and delicious intelligence.
"Never underestimate the power of a small group of people to change the world. In fact it’s the only way it ever has.” - Margaret Mead; anthropologist
