Let’s face it, the suburbs aren’t exactly known for being a destination spot for locally made, tasty foods. To the rescue comes Sweet As Can Be on the Northwest corner of 120th Avenue and Claude Court in Northglenn. A new and welcome addition to the northern suburbs, owner Philip Sella makes all of his goodies from scratch, either right at the store or at their production facility in Arvada.
Whether it’s caramel corn, cinnamon rolls, cookies, toffees, or truffles, Sweet As Can Be offers rich and indulgent treats that will satisfy nearly any craving. The toffee is that perfect mix of salty and sweet, buttery, crunchy goodness, and nearly anything with caramel in it will fill your mouth with creamy joy. Like caramel corn? If you’re a fan of “Crunch and Munch” or any of that commercially made stuff, you’ll need to be ready to abandon your old favorite in favor of what caramel corn is supposed to taste like…this is it.
They are still working out their hours, so your best bet will be to call first just to make sure they’re open. Fortunately, they’re on my way to and from work, so I get twice the chance to hit them up. They also have a punch card option, and for every five bucks you spend there, they’ll punch your card; after ten punches, you get a free tin of four cinnamon rolls. They’ve been open about a month and I’ve already earned one tin. Yeah… their stuff really is that good. Be sure to stop by…you will not regret it!

OH MY GOODNESS,have you TRIED the cinnamon rolls? This place is a gift from heaven. One of the major reasons I was not excited about living in the burbs was the lack of mom & pop places to eat, bakeries, etc. This place has won my heart through my mouth! YUM. And such a sweet little store!

The cinnamon rolls are a regular weekend treat at my house; if we don’t get our fix, my son and I get pretty cranky!
