Farm to Table Event
This event is sold out!

Slow Food Cape Cod will host a Farm-to-Table dinner on Sunday, September 26 on Coonamessett Farm in Falmouth. Spend an afternoon at the farm in Falmouth, enjoy a sampling of freshly shucked oysters, listen to live jazz, take in a farm tour then sit down to an elegant six-course community meal, prepared by Cucina d'Amore Fine Catering
The meal will be crafted from recipes from the Edible: A Celebration of Local Foods. Tracey Ryder and Carole Topalian, cofounders of Edible Communities and creators of the book will be joining the festivities. Farmer Ron Smolowitz, is one of the local heroes showcased in the book in a story called Coonamessett Days, Jamaican Nights, written by Tom Dott, “What Ron Smolowitz has done with Coonamessst Farm is like what the Swiss Army did to a knife”. Farmer Ron and his wife Roxanna were ahead of the curve, offering farm-to-table dinners long before they became the rage. You just can’t get any stronger of a link to our food, our farmers; and our community.
