Mrs. Soergel’s Simple Baked Apples |

Yield: 4 servings
Ingredients:
6-8 apples 1/2 cup brown sugar 1-2 teaspoons cinnamon (to taste) 1 tablespoon water 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
Directions:
- Peel and slice apples into eighths, to fill a 9-inch pie pan. Sprinkle with brown sugar, cinnamon, and water. Dot with butter.
- Cook in the microwave on full power until apples are soft, about 20 to 25 minutes. Or, bake for one hour at 350° in a conventional oven. Add raisins or nuts for a variation.
